We offer routine vision care for patients who need glasses or contacts as well as management of eye diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, macular degeneration and eye injuries.
For your convenience, Eyemart Express is located next door and provides most prescription glasses the same day.
Meet the Doctor
Agen J. Herring, O.D.
Dr. Herring was born in Dublin County and raised in Durham, North Carolina. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Howard University in Washington, DC in 2002. Dr. Herring went on to further his studies at The Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago where he earned his Optometry degree in 2013. He has been honored by the United States Navy at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center in North Chicago, Illinois where he completed his clinical externship at Great Lake Naval Base.
He loves spending time with his family. He also enjoys water sports, traveling, biking, skiing, and snowboarding. He received his Eagle Scout merit badge from St. Joseph’s AME Church in Durham, NC and remains an active member in his community and church.
